Kentucky Right to Life Applauds the U.S. House upon passage of the ‘Big Beautiful Budget Bill” and the Defunding Abortion Industry:

A Major Pro-Life Victory

Louisville, KY — With narrow margins and resolute purpose, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the monumental ‘Big Beautiful Bill’—a comprehensive prolife budget measure—by a vote of 215 to 214, with one member voting present. This legislation marks a defining victory in the ongoing effort to end taxpayer funding for abortion providers.

“This is a huge victory,” said Addia Wuchner, Executive Director of Kentucky Right to Life, the Commonwealth’s oldest and most trusted pro-life, pro-family organization.

“For decades, Kentuckians have joined with fellow ProLife Americans in saying no to tax dollars funding of abortion.  Thank you, Leader Johnson and members, your vote is a powerful affirmation of that truth and of our shared values.”

Wuchner continued, “We want to express special words of gratitude to our own Kentucky Congressman Brett Guthrie, Chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, for his exceptional leadership and the Committee’s work in advancing this life-affirming legislation. His unwavering commitment to protecting the vulnerable and standing for Kentucky families is a light in Washington.”

The bill now heads to the U.S. Senate, where ProLife leaders urge timely action.

The goal: to see this critical funding legislation signed into law by pro-life President Donald Trump before Independence Day. Kentuckians—and countless ProLife Americans—await that day with hopeful anticipation and unwavering purpose.

“We call on the Senate to reflect the will of the people and act swiftly,” Wuchner said. “Let freedom ring—for every child, born and unborn.”
