HB 272, sponsored by Representative Matt Lockett, passed the House unanimously (96–0) and now awaits action in the Senate. This legislation takes an important step toward protecting minors from the documented harms of social media—harms driven by algorithms designed to capture attention, prolong engagement, and expose young users to harmful content.
