The Organ Donation Pause in Procedure Act, sponsored by Rep. Jason Nemes, has now cleared both chambers of the General Assembly and moves one step closer to becoming law.
Kentucky Right to Life was honored to work on this important piece of legislation which establishes clear safeguards in the organ donation process, ensuring that any sign of life or uncertainty triggers an immediate pause and independent reassessment. These protections help uphold the dignity of every patient while preserving trust in the gift of organ donation.
